The Story

One Week, the Real Morocco

This seven-day private tour from Marrakech is built for travelers who want to see the country properly — not in a rush, not from a tour bus, but at the slower, deeper pace of a private driver, a flexible schedule, and accommodations chosen for character rather than convenience.

The route is a complete loop: cross the High Atlas to the UNESCO kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, pass through the Dades Valley and the dramatic Todra Gorges, and arrive in the Erg Chebbi dunes of Merzouga for a camel trek and a night under the stars in a comfortable Sahara desert camp.

From there, the journey continues north to the imperial city of Fes for a full guided day in the medina, then to the iconic blue town of Chefchaouen, before returning south through Casablanca and Rabat — completing one full circle of the most iconic places in Morocco.

Frequently Asked

Tour FAQ

What makes the 7-day tour different from shorter tours?
The 7-day tour is the perfect length to truly experience Morocco — long enough to include both the Sahara and the imperial cities, but tight enough to avoid feeling drawn-out. Shorter tours focus on either the desert or the imperial cities; the 7-day tour combines both, with a full guided day in the Fes Medina and an unhurried route across the country.
Is this tour private?
Yes — 100% private. Just you and your travel companions, your own English-speaking driver/guide, and a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. No other travelers, no group bus, no fixed group schedule. Daily timing and stops are entirely flexible based on your interests.
Where do we sleep in the Sahara?
One night in a comfortable desert camp at Erg Chebbi, near Merzouga. Each tent is private with comfortable beds, en-suite bathroom (shower and toilet), and a Berber-style lounge area. Dinner is served under the stars, with Berber drumming around the fire. Luxury camp upgrades are available on request.
Can we end the tour in Casablanca or Fes instead of Marrakech?
Yes — the route can easily be adapted to end at any major airport (Marrakech, Casablanca, Fes, or Tangier) so you don't need to backtrack for your return flight. Just let us know which airport you're flying out of, and we'll adjust the final day's plan accordingly.
Can the itinerary be customized?
Absolutely. The 7-day program is a flexible base — you can add days, change accommodations, upgrade to luxury riads or a luxury desert camp, add an Essaouira coast stop, or extend the tour with Marrakech sightseeing days. Tell us your interests and we'll tailor the journey to fit you perfectly.
Is this tour suitable for families or seniors?
Yes — the 7-day tour works well for families and senior travelers because the pace is balanced and the vehicle is air-conditioned and comfortable. Daily distances are reasonable, with regular rest stops and flexibility to slow down or rearrange the schedule. The camel ride in Merzouga is optional and can be replaced with a 4x4 transfer to the desert camp.
What's the best time of year for this tour?
Morocco is a year-round destination. The best months are March–May (spring, mild and green) and September–November (autumn, warm but not hot). June–August can be very hot in the Sahara and Marrakech, though comfortable in Chefchaouen and Fes. December–February brings cooler days, occasional rain, and snow in the High Atlas — but it's also less crowded and very atmospheric.
