The Story

Two Weeks, the Whole of Morocco

This fourteen-day private Morocco tour is our most complete itinerary — designed for travelers who want to experience the entire country in depth, without rushing, without group bus schedules, and without backtracking. The journey starts in Casablanca, follows a natural loop through every iconic Moroccan region, and ends back in Marrakech or Essaouira on the Atlantic coast.

The first days are dedicated to the Atlantic capitals — Casablanca and Rabat — before continuing north to the blue town of Chefchaouen, the imperial city of Fes with a full guided day inside the medina, and a slow descent through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas toward the Sahara. Two unhurried nights in the Erg Chebbi dunes give you time to truly experience the desert, including a private visit to nomad families.

From the Sahara, the tour winds back west through the Todra Gorges, the Dades Valley, Ouarzazate, and the UNESCO kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, before crossing the High Atlas to Marrakech. The final days are spent exploring Marrakech with a licensed local guide and ending with a day on the Atlantic coast at Essaouira — completing one full, unhurried circle of Morocco.

Frequently Asked

Tour FAQ

Why start the tour from Casablanca?
Casablanca has Morocco's largest international airport with direct flights from across Europe, North America, and the Middle East, making it the easiest entry point for many travelers. Starting from Casablanca also lets you experience the Atlantic capitals (Casablanca and Rabat) at the beginning of the tour and follow a natural loop through the country without backtracking.
Can the tour end in Marrakech or Essaouira instead?
Yes — the route can be adapted to end at any major airport (Casablanca, Marrakech, Fes, or Tangier) so you don't need to drive back to Casablanca if you're flying from a different city. The standard route loops back to Casablanca because that's where most international flights depart from, but if you're flying out of Marrakech we can finish your tour at Marrakech airport on Day 13 instead. Just tell us your departure airport when booking.
Is this tour private?
Yes — 100% private. Just you and your travel companions, your own English-speaking driver/guide, and a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. No other travelers, no group bus, no fixed group schedule. Daily timing and stops are entirely flexible based on your interests.
What's special about the nomad experience?
On Day 9 in the Sahara, you'll take a 4x4 excursion to visit nomad families still living in the dunes — sharing tea, learning about their traditional way of life, and seeing how they adapt to the desert. We also visit the village of Khamlia, famous for its Gnawa music tradition (descended from sub-Saharan slaves), as well as the salt flats and fossil quarries of the Merzouga region. It's a respectful, authentic exchange.
Where do we sleep in the Sahara?
Two nights are spent in the Merzouga region. The first night is in a comfortable Sahara desert camp at Erg Chebbi — each tent is private with comfortable beds, en-suite bathroom (shower and toilet), and a Berber-style lounge area. Dinner is served under the stars with Berber drumming around the fire. The second night can be in the camp again, or at a comfortable hotel nearby with a pool, depending on your preference. Luxury camp upgrades are available on request.
Can the itinerary be customized?
Absolutely. The 14-day program is a flexible base — you can add or remove days, change accommodations, upgrade to luxury riads or a luxury desert camp, add cooking classes or hammam visits, replace the Essaouira day with extra Marrakech time, or build a completely original itinerary from scratch. Tell us your interests and we'll tailor the journey to fit you perfectly.
Is this tour suitable for families or seniors?
Yes — the 14-day tour is one of our most family-friendly and senior-friendly itineraries because the pace is balanced over two full weeks, with built-in rest days in Chefchaouen and the Sahara. The vehicle is air-conditioned and comfortable, and daily distances are reasonable with regular rest stops. The camel ride in Merzouga is optional and can be replaced with a 4x4 transfer for guests who prefer not to ride.
What's the best time of year for this tour?
Morocco is a year-round destination. The best months for this comprehensive tour are March–May (spring, mild and green) and September–November (autumn, warm but not hot). June–August can be very hot in the Sahara and Marrakech, though comfortable in Chefchaouen and the coast. December–February brings cooler days, occasional rain, snow in the High Atlas, and the most atmospheric desert nights — but also fewer crowds.
