The Story

One Week, the Essence of Morocco

This eight-day private tour from Casablanca is designed for travelers who want to see the best of Morocco within a single week — without rushing, without missing the most iconic destinations, and without the constraints of a group bus. The journey starts at Casablanca's international airport, follows a natural circuit through the country's most photogenic places, and ends back in Casablanca for your return flight.

The first days lead you north to Chefchaouen, the famous blue mountain town in the Rif, before continuing east to the medieval medina of Fes for a full guided cultural day. The middle of the tour brings the dramatic descent across the Middle Atlas to the Sahara Desert at Merzouga — camel ride at sunset, dinner under the stars, and overnight in a comfortable desert camp.

From the Sahara, the journey winds west through the Todra Gorges, the Dades Valley, the UNESCO kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, and over the High Atlas to Marrakech — the Red City — before the final drive back to Casablanca airport. Every day is private, flexible, and built around your pace.

Frequently Asked

Tour FAQ

Why start the tour from Casablanca?
Casablanca has Morocco's largest international airport with direct flights from across Europe, North America, and the Middle East, making it the easiest entry point for many travelers. Starting from Casablanca also lets you experience Rabat (the capital) on the way north and follow a natural circuit through the country before returning to Casablanca airport for your departure.
Can the tour end in Marrakech instead?
Yes — if you're flying out of Marrakech, the tour can finish at Marrakech airport on Day 8 instead of returning to Casablanca. This saves the final 3-hour drive and gives you more time in the city. Just tell us your departure airport when booking and we'll adjust the final day accordingly.
Is the pace too fast for 8 days?
The 8-day tour is intentionally compact to allow travelers with limited time to see the highlights of Morocco. It covers a lot of ground and includes a few long driving days (especially Day 5 from Fes to Merzouga and Day 7 from Dades to Marrakech). If you'd prefer a slower pace, we recommend our 10 or 12-day itineraries, which add free days and more time in each location.
Is this tour private?
Yes — 100% private. Just you and your travel companions, your own English-speaking driver/guide, and a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. No other travelers, no group bus, no fixed group schedule. Daily timing and stops are entirely flexible based on your interests.
Where do we sleep in the Sahara?
The Sahara night is spent in a comfortable desert camp at Erg Chebbi. Each tent is private with comfortable beds, en-suite bathroom (shower and toilet), and a Berber-style lounge area. Dinner is served under the stars with Berber drumming around the fire. Luxury camp upgrades are available on request for an additional fee.
Can the itinerary be customized?
Absolutely. The 8-day program is a flexible base — you can add a Marrakech guided day on Day 8, extend the Sahara to two nights, swap Chefchaouen for an extra night in Fes, upgrade to luxury riads or a luxury desert camp, or build a completely original itinerary. Tell us your interests and we'll tailor the journey to fit you perfectly.
Is this tour suitable for families or seniors?
The 8-day tour can work for active families and seniors, but the pace is compact and includes some long driving days. For young children, restless travelers, or guests who prefer a relaxed pace, we recommend extending to a 10 or 12-day version which adds rest days and shorter daily distances. The camel ride in Merzouga is optional and can be replaced with a 4x4 transfer for guests who prefer not to ride.
What's the best time of year for this tour?
Morocco is a year-round destination. The best months for this tour are March–May (spring, mild and green) and September–November (autumn, warm but not hot). June–August can be very hot in the Sahara and Marrakech, though comfortable in Chefchaouen and the coast. December–February brings cooler days, occasional rain, snow in the High Atlas, and the most atmospheric desert nights — but also fewer crowds.
