A Grand Circuit From Agadir
This ten-day private Morocco tour from Agadir is designed for travelers who want to experience the whole country in a single trip — starting and ending at Agadir Al Massira Airport, with a complete loop covering Marrakech the Red City, the Sahara Desert at Merzouga, the imperial medina of Fes, the famous blue town of Chefchaouen, and Casablanca's magnificent Hassan II Mosque on the Atlantic coast.
The tour combines all of Morocco's signature experiences: two full guided cultural days — one in Fes and a walking tour in Marrakech — a sunset camel trek into the orange dunes of Erg Chebbi, a night in a comfortable Sahara desert camp, the UNESCO-listed Aït Ben Haddou kasbah, the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass, the Roman ruins of Volubilis, the imperial Meknes, and the historic capital Rabat.
You'll travel in a private air-conditioned vehicle with your own English-speaking driver, stay in carefully chosen riads, boutique hotels, kasbah-style hotels, and a Sahara desert camp — experiencing Morocco at your own pace and returning to Agadir for departure at the end of the tour.
A Complete Loop From Agadir
Your 10-Day Programme
Arrival in Agadir
Welcome to Morocco. Airport pick-up from Agadir Al Massira Airport with a warm Moroccan welcome and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon optional walk along the Atlantic corniche, the marina, and Agadir's wide golden beach — one of the longest in Morocco. Evening dinner at your hotel or in one of the seaside restaurants overlooking the ocean.
Agadir → Marrakech
After breakfast, leave Agadir and drive north through the Souss Valley and the foothills of the High Atlas (approximately 3 hours) to reach Marrakech by midday. Check into a traditional luxury riad in the heart of the medina. Afternoon walking tour of Marrakech with your driver-guide — visit the iconic Koutoubia Mosque and explore the colorful souks (leather, spices, brass, carpets). As evening falls, walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa square to witness one of the most extraordinary spectacles in Morocco: storytellers, musicians, snake charmers, and food stalls filling the night air.
Marrakech — Full Guided Day
A full guided day in Marrakech with a licensed local guide. Visit the ornate Bahia Palace with its intricate zellige tiles and carved cedar ceilings, the Saadian Tombs hidden for centuries behind a sealed wall, and the colorful Majorelle Gardens — once owned by Yves Saint Laurent. Wander deeper into the souks with your guide to discover hidden artisan workshops, traditional weavers, and tea ceremonies. Evening at leisure in your riad or back at Jemaa el-Fnaa for dinner.
Marrakech → Aït Ben Haddou → Dades Valley
Leave Marrakech in the morning for one of the most cinematic drives in North Africa — across the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass at 2,260 meters. Stop at viewpoints over Berber villages perched on the mountainsides. Visit Aït Ben Haddou — the UNESCO-listed mud-brick kasbah where Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and Lawrence of Arabia were filmed. Continue through Ouarzazate and the "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs" to the Dades Valley with its red rock formations and famous "monkey fingers" rocks. Overnight in a kasbah-style hotel built into the valley walls.
Dades → Todra Gorges → Merzouga Sahara
Drive east to the spectacular Todra Gorges where canyon walls rise 300+ meters above a narrow stream — time to walk inside the canyon. Continue through palm groves and desert plains toward Merzouga, arriving at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in the late afternoon. At sunset, ride a camel into the dunes as the sand turns from gold to pink to deep orange. Dinner under the stars at your comfortable Sahara desert camp, with Berber music drifting around the fire — one of the most unforgettable nights of the entire tour.
Merzouga → Middle Atlas → Fes
Sunrise over the dunes followed by breakfast at the camp. Begin the long but spectacular drive north to Fes. Leave the Sahara through Erfoud and the Ziz Valley canyon, then ascend into the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas with a stop at Ifrane — nicknamed "Little Switzerland" for its alpine architecture — and a chance to spot wild Barbary macaques in the cedar groves. Continue through Midelt for lunch and arrive in Fes by early evening for overnight in a luxury riad inside the medina, with dinner served on a rooftop overlooking the old city.
Fes — Full Guided Cultural Day
A full day exploring Fes with a licensed local guide. Walk through the world's largest car-free medieval city — a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the famous Chouara tanneries with their dramatic vats of natural dyes, the Al-Quaraouiyine — the world's oldest continuously operating university — the Bou Inania Madrasa with its stunning zellige tiles and carved cedar, the artisan quarters where craftsmen still work copper, leather, mosaic, and silk by hand, and the royal palace gates. Free afternoon to wander or rest at your riad.
Fes → Volubilis → Chefchaouen Blue City
Leave Fes after breakfast and drive north through olive groves and rolling hills to the Roman ruins of Volubilis — a UNESCO site with intact 3rd-century mosaics. Continue north through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, the famous blue-painted town. Arrive by afternoon and check into your boutique hotel inside the blue medina. Spend the rest of the day wandering through the blue alleys for unforgettable golden-hour photos, browsing artisan shops, and walking up to the Spanish Mosque viewpoint for the best panoramic sunset over the town.
Chefchaouen → Rabat → Casablanca
Leave Chefchaouen after morning photos in the blue alleys. Drive south to the Atlantic coast with a stop in Rabat — the capital of Morocco. Visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Udayas overlooking the ocean. Continue to Casablanca in the late afternoon. Optional evening visit of the magnificent Hassan II Mosque — the largest mosque in Africa, particularly stunning at sunset over the Atlantic with its 210-meter minaret reflecting the golden light. Overnight in Casablanca.
Casablanca → Atlantic Coast → Agadir
Morning visit to the Hassan II Mosque if not visited the previous evening — the only mosque in Morocco open to non-Muslims, with breathtaking interior craftsmanship (entrance optional). After lunch, drive south along the Atlantic coast back to Agadir (approximately 6 hours) with possible stops at El Jadida (a Portuguese fortified town) or Essaouira (the windy white-and-blue port town). Arrive in Agadir in the evening for drop-off at your hotel or directly at Agadir Al Massira Airport for your departure flight. End of an unforgettable Moroccan journey.
